Solomon Kindley

Last but not least on this list is a player who looks nothing like the player he was when he signed last year. Solomon Kindley came out of Jacksonville, Florida as a three-star offensive guard. He also weighed 380 pounds. Good size for high school football, but not in shape in the SEC.

However, Kindley is now down to 335 pounds and Coach Smart has been singing his praises. Last fall he struggled. But Smart said he’s cut out about 70-percent of the mistakes he was making.

A year into his time at Georgia, he enters the 2017 season appearing to have locked down the starting spot at right guard. He didn’t play all but one snap last season so he’ll be a redshirt freshman this year.

Judging by how the coaches feel about him right now, Kindley might be in for a stellar career between the hedges starting this season.
