Offensive line looking… Not so good.

Well, at least they should have a lot to cheer. So long as the QB’s have enough time to actually throw the ball. This practice showed that the offensive line issues from last year do not seem to have disappeared. One of the main issues the line faced was that two players in the current first team are really struggling. Pat Allan and Dyshon Sims were bullied pretty much the entire day. Both players are new starters but to be honest, if they both start the season, the offense could have problems.

Both seem to be good team guys and the effort is there, but there’s no doubting that they really struggled. Now granted, they are up against some incredibly defensive line talent. They won’t face many players better than Jonathan Ledbetter in 2017. The guy is a monster. But even so, they both looked poor and the team probably needs some new blood in there.

The issue is that most of the talent are currently freshmen. Isaiah Wilson certainly looked imposing, but he’s just only had 5 college practices in his life. That being said, despite how good the competition was, I just don’t think this will be the starting OL for too much longer. The right side is simply too weak and some freshman can’t be much worse to be honest.
