The second week of the 2017 Georgia football fall camp is behind us and it was just as newsworthy as week one.
We are getting closer and closer to Georgia’s season opening meeting with the Appalachian State Mountaineers. Position battles are getting even more heated, absences begin to command more attention from fans. And every little bit said about the 2017 Georgia football team receives reactions and over-reactions.
Last week, information about transfer receiver Ahkil Crumpton, Sony Michel and other running backs playing receiver, and Holly Rowe’s impressions of the offensive line were some of the biggest headlines.
But week two of fall camp gave fans just as much to talk about. here are a few of the top stories from this week:
Sanford Stadium experience
With the West End Zone Project beginning, many fans are curious about how this will impact the experience on that side of the stadium. According to a story on Dawgnation, fans shouldn’t worry too much right now.

The Dawg Walk will still end where it always has. Inside the stadium, fans also shouldn’t worry about watching the game. Outside the stadium might be a little complicated. But the project shouldn’t affect fans too much this season.
For those that are unaware, the West End Zone Project is a face-lift to that side of the stadium. A new locker room is going to be installed there, as well as a pavilion for recruits. The main tunnel that the team will run onto the field from, is also being moved to the west side of the stadium.
So this is the last year that the team will run through the banner on the east side. Next year, the beginning of Georgia games will look pretty different.
What to eat.
Dreamland BBQ and Dunkin’ Donuts will now be serving food at Georgia games. Dreamland BBQ will be at nine concessions stands, while Dunkin’ Donuts will be at Reed Plaza.
If you enter the stadium through gate six (the best stadium gate in all of college football), prepare to walk through a food court. Gate six is known for being wide open so that space is being used as a food court now. Dreamland, Papa John’s and Dreamland will each have a stand at this new food court.
