Azeez Olujari brings a defensive play-maker.

Azeez Ojulari is a player who has burst onto the scene the past few months. He really only started getting his big time offers this past April and UGA was among them. That it took a while was more because he was under the radar more than because of his talent. This summer, Ojulari camped and boy did people notice. His athletic ability stood out so much, that he went from a nearly unknown, to a guy who was invited to the Nike Opening Finals in Oregon.

Not only was Azeez invited, he stood out. He is big, long and explosive. Everything you want from someone who is going to rush the passes at the next level. Ojulari has all of the attributes fans could want from a pass rusher. He’s still pretty raw, but he’s still got his full senior season to play. He looked a lot better at the Opening as the event went on as he showed an ability to learn from his coaches. That bodes well for what we can do when he gets to Athens.

His commitment to his in state school was a huge win for UGA. Florida and Auburn were heavily involved in his recruitment as was Clemson. Azeez also has a younger brother BJ who is going to be a top 2020 recruit. Having Azeez could really help UGA land another stud pass rusher.
