1. Georgia will make the playoffs

All these predictions have been bold but believable so far. How about this one? It might seem farfetched to believe, but these are bold predictions after all. But this one could still happen.

If Georgia rushes for 3,500 yards and throws around 40 touchdown passes, who knows how many points they’ll score each game. The average should be in the high 30’s if not the low 40’s. And we already expect a great year from the defense.

And a clean sweep of the SEC East will likely mean that Georgia will be going to the SEC Championship Game. Then all Georgia would have to do is get past Alabama, which is not as daunting as a task as it seems.

Next: Georgia's clear path to Atlanta

Florida was blown out by Alabama last year in spite of their defense because their offense left them in bad positions. Georgia’s offense will not get dominated as much. They can keep the game close where the Gators didn’t.

But Georgia might not even need to beat Alabama. If the right teams lose, and Georgia is 12-1 after a loss to Alabama, the Bulldogs will be in the playoffs fighting for one more trip to Atlanta. Whether or not Georgia can win in the first round is a different story, but it’s not too unbelievable.
