Aaron Davis.

Davis is the most likely player to step in and take the 2nd cornerback spot. He has played in that position several times although he’s performed better at safety. Davis doesn’t necessarily have the natural cornerback skills that you might need to shut down big time receivers. He’s a very competitive and disciplined player, but he doesn’t have the most fluid hips and is vulnerable to quick players.

He does possess decent size however, standing at 6-1 which will be useful against some of the receivers he might see. Equanimeous St. Brown at Notre Dame is probably the best receiver UGA will face all year. Standing at over 6-5, he’s always going to be a threat and he will destroy a smaller corner. This will likely be Davis’ biggest challenge of the year.

Davis is a gamer though. A lot of people forget that he’s a guy who had to earn his scholarship after being a walk on in his freshman year. There are few people on the Georgia roster who are as competitive as him. If there is anybody I would want stepping in for Parrish, it’s Davis.
