Richard LeCounte III.

Lecounte is the smallest player that we have on this list. While all of the other’s come in at 6-1 or taller, he’s much closer to 5-10. He’s also only weighs about 180lbs, so he doesn’t have the physical presence of players like Gibbs.

That being said, he might be the hardest hitter in the secondary. Anytime you watch him in high school, he was a big play machine. He hits like a rocket and is the kind of player who just knows how to go up and find the ball. Next year, I fully expect him to step in and fill the role Dominick Sanders has right now. The only difference is I expect him to be someone receivers are legitimately scared of. Watching his high school film, he looks like one of those few players who genuinely enjoys hitting people.

There’s a chance that the coaches decide to put Lecounte at safety this year next to Sanders in some packages. He gives them a second ball hawk back there as well as the kind of guy who will lay the wood onto receivers. I doubt he will start, but I expect him to have an increasing impact as the year goes on.
