Georgia Football has a sophomore QB who a lot of people are expecting big things from. But Jacob Eason will need to improve to take UGA to the next level.

Less than a week away from the start of the season, a lot of Georgia Football fans have big hopes for 2017. If the team is going to take the leap a lot expect, Jacob Eason will be key. The starting QB was a true freshman in 2016 and had a decent 1st year. He threw for just under 2500 yards and 16 touchdowns which was impressive for someone so young.

However, if you watched him play, he looked raw and made a lot of mistakes. There is, in short, a lot of room for improvement in 2017 and Georgia is going to need that to happen. Eason might well be the most physically gifted QB in the SEC this year. Going into his sophomore season with 12 games under his belt, he is expected to make a leap that can help him lead this offense to success.

There were some clear weaknesses in his game last year. His arm, though live was often very wide and like a lot of freshmen, he struggled with decision making. That being said, there are some very clear areas where if he improves, he can have a great season. So let’s take a look at just what those are!
