2018 class: OLB class could be loaded.

Fans shouldn’t expect the defensive recruiting to slow down. The 2018 class has already scored two big time pass rushers and could well add a third. Caleb Tannor and Azeez Ojulari are seriously talented prospects and are going to push for playing time just like Grant and Beal. Georgia is also very much still in the mix for Adam Anderson. Anderson was a former UGA commit but has reopened his recruitment. He’s considered to be the top OLB in the nation in that year’s class and would make for a seriously talented trio of talent arriving in Athens.

In short, there was a good chance here that Manac was going to be even more lost in the shuffle. It shouldn’t be forgotten that he was initially recruited by Mark Richt. He saw a coaching change come in and has been moved around. He has then seen a lot of talent brought in and it just doesn’t seem like he was going to be able to live up to his potential at Georgia.

There have never been any indications that Manac has not been a good member of the team. He shone despite not seeing the field and was prepared to change position to help the team. He is well within his rights to try and find a school where he can play more than at Georgia. It’s nice that there don’t seem to be any negative feelings from this departure and hopefully it works out well for both parties.
