Sunday

7:30 no. 21 Virginia Tech at no. 23 West Virginia. ABC

The last of a few top-25 matches this weekend is a battle between schools in the Virginias; Virginia tech of the ACC and West Virginia of the Big 12.

Both teams are considered dark horses to win their respective conferences. The Hookies have to get past Clemson, Florida State and Louisville, while West Virginia is dealing with Oklahoma, Oklahoma State and Texas Christian.

These two teams should provide excellent foils for one another. Out of all the games on this list, Virginia tech and West Virginia might be the most entertaining one to watch.

7:30 Texas A&M at UCLA. FOX

While a top-25 game is being played, an unranked, yet equally interesting game is also being played. The Bruins and the Aggies meet in the Rose Bowl.

For the first time in a long time, the SEC East is more interesting than the West. Georgia and Florida are clearly at the top, but it really wouldn’t be that surprising to see someone else win. The West however, is a one-horse race. It’s Alabama and six bridesmaids. Aggies are campaigning to be the maid of honor this year.

For UCLA, there’s a fear that they missed their chance to take over the Pac-12 South. They were a budding program just a few years ago, but they’ve since gone backwards and they finished 4-8 last year.

Monday

no. 25 Tennessee @ Georgia Tech. ABC

Here’s a game where Georgia fans hope both somehow lose. We don’t have any love loss for either team. But it’s still an interesting game. Tennessee comes in trying to keep their program heading the right direction. Georgia tech is trying to build off of the end of their 2016 season. A loss would be devastating, a win will be a huge confidence builder.
