My predictions for Chubb’s final season between the hedges.

As I said before, I’m a big fan of Nick Chubb. There are few players I want to see succeed more in 2017 than him. I really believe that he deserves to have won an SEC East title. That would be the perfect ending for a guy who has given so much to this University.

I really do believe that this will actually be the year that we see the best of Nick Chubb. I do not expect him to get 25/30 carries a game, not with Sony Michel and the other RB’s in the team. However, I do expect him to have a yards per carry average of over 6. I also expect him to blow past last years 1120 yards and to actually go past 1500.

He’s going to be the closer for this team. The guy who when the opposing defense is tired busts a tackle and rumbles into the end zone. Those big runs, like we saw in 2014, will become a more common sight. I also expect to see him find the end zone a good deal. I’m thinking 12 or more touchdowns for a player I fully expect to be in the conversation as the best in the SEC.

Next: Game prediction for App. State.

If this team can rise to Chubb’s level and deliver the season we all hope for, the number 27 is going to be well remembered here. It probably already should be, but with one more great season, Nick Chubb can carve a space on UGA’s RB Mount Rushmore. Considering the kind of company that sits there right now, that shows just how great he’s been and why we should all cherish his final season with the dawgs.
