Nothing like a little poem from Mike to get you ready for the first Georgia Football game of the season:

Twas’ the Night before Georgia Football,

and all through Dawgnation,

those who bled red and black,

were filled with excitement and elation.

The hedges were all trimmed,

the grass was cut with care,

The G was painted beautifully,

Over 93k would soon be there.

Some Mountaineers from App. State

were coming overnight,

and would soon encounter,

a brutal SEC fight.

Dawg fans were getting ready,

to lay snug in their beds,

with visions of tailgating, solo trumpet players, and Chubb TDs running through their heads.

Kirby had prepared

all of his Dawgs for war,

by around 9 on Saturday night,

App. State would want no more.

On, Eason! On, Michel! Go Chubb! Go Carter!

The defense was STACKED,

And would play stronger and smarter.

I was at home,

preparing for war.

Did I get enough beer?

Do I need to get more?

Tomorrow was the beginning

of a long awesome journey with the Dawgs and friends,

that would lead to an epic showdown,

between the Dawgs and Tide in the Benz.

Kirby was brought to Athens to win.

And that’s what he will do.

12-0 , 11-1, or at worst 10-2.

Things were obviously different this year than they were last,

More discipline,  maturity….the guys are stronger and more fast.

This is Kirby Smart’s team and things will be done his way.

Tomorrow night it is finally time, Dawg fans,

to attack the day.

So let’s all say it one more time,

on this final pre game Friday night,

GOOOOOO..DAWGS! SIC EM!!

And to all of Dawgnation, good night.
