Jake Fromm

Fromm deserves a lot of criticism after Saturday night’s game, but now’s not the time for that. He earned a lot of praise in his first time in regular season game in front of a Georgia crowd.

After Jacob Eason’s injury in the first quarter, Fromm was the leader that we needed him to be. And he made a few plays along the way. I was particularly impressed with his first big pass to Javon Wims in the first quarter.

He recognized the safety was turned the wrong way and that Wims was a big target, he placed the pass in the perfect spot. If Fromm can make those plays consistently, it will be hard for Eason to pass him when he returns.

Besides the throws he made, Fromm was in charge of the offense from the moment he took over. It helped that the coaches had him run the hurry up offense, but he did his part to keep the offense moving forward. Couldn’t ask for more.
