X-Factors

This is easy……. The quarterbacks. This is the first big game for both of them and the one who keeps composed will be the one to lead their team to victory.

Brandon Wimbush was impressive against Temple last week, but this isn’t Temple coming to town. Georgia is a talented defense that will throw multiple looks his way all night. If he can identify the coverage and decide to throw, or tuck and run, Notre Dame will be very successful. This will be only his second start and Georgia will be the best defense he has seen yet. If he plays up to the hype, it could mean a long day for the dawgs.

For Georgia, it’s true freshman Jake Fromm making his first start. Fromm must first fight the nerves he will have to begin with. Don’t get me wrong, he looked comfortable Saturday, but this one is different. Fromm had a decent game Saturday but he also didn’t look flawless. He doesn’t have the Eason arm, but he made good decisions for the most part.

He got lucky a few times as well, completing a pass he was trying to throw away, and the under thrown touchdown to Wims. I’m excited to see what the young gun is going to do with the pressure of going to South Bend. So long as he avoids turnovers and can at least keep the ND defense honest, Georgia has a chance.
