Georgia football defeated Notre Dame 20-19 last night. But the game did not go as smoothly as it should have.

How bout’ them Dawgs? Georgia football and the Bulldog Nation turned South bend, Indiana into their yard Saturday night. Chubb and Michel were in typical form and the defense played a spectacular game.

However, Georgia did not have a perfect game. Penalties were a huge problem from start to finish, Jake Fromm often didn’t have much time to spend in the pocket. And then play calling was questionable to say the least, and down right atrocious to say the most.

Here are a few Bulldogs who need to get their stuff together after the week two victory over Notre Dame. As always, this is a list of players, coaches and other members of the Georgia football team.

The offensive line

Run blocking is clearly better from last year. The offensive line isn’t yet a great run blocking unit, but improvements have been made. But pass blocking is yet to catch up with run blocking, and with young quarterbacks, that’s what needs to improve the most.

The true freshman Jake Fromm had a solid night. Not great, not bad either. But how good could he have been with some better pass blocking?

Here soon, Georgia is going to start playing better defenses. We need to see the offensive line making some strides. This offense has the talent to be one of the best units in the conference, but they can’t accomplish that without better play up front.
