After each game, various players and position groups from the Georgia football team will receive a weekly report card from Dawn of the Dawg. How did the Dawgs do in Week 2?

Jake Fromm: B

Just like in Week 1, Fromm played a fairly good game against Notre Dame considering the circumstances surrounding the game. He didn’t light up the stat sheet but he made some good throws (particularly the touchdown throw to Terry Godwin) and seemed to manage the offense well. The fumbled exchange between him and Nick Chubb appeared to be an error on his part and the interception he threw was a ball he should never have thrown.

Still, Fromm did enough to keep the Dawgs in the game and to have the team in a position to win late in the game. Fromm is still learning week by week but Georgia is 2-0 with him running the offense and I’m sure that’s the stat that he and the coaching staff are the most excited about. Fromm appears to be the starter at quarterback for at least another week.

Having a game against FCS opponent Samford this weekend may give him a good opportunity to throw a lot of passes and can allow to him improve on some mistakes he’s made thus far. Again, Fromm played well enough to put his team in a position to win and that’s what really matters.
