Missouri really doesn’t have a defense

How about that Missouri defense? For a few years, that was the teams strength. Now it appears they’ve turned a complete 180 on defense. Sure, 31 points isn’t too much, but South Carolina isn’t an offensive powerhouse and they were terrible on the road last year.

Meanwhile, the Tigers went from scoring 70 points against Missouri State to scoring only 13 against the Gamecocks. That’s a pretty good indicator that Drew Lock can be shut down. Their receivers can be contained, defenses can stuff their running game.

The offense went from looking scary for opponents one week to looking scary for Missouri fans the next. The Tigers host Purdue this week so this will be a good chance for then to pick up a big win before jumping into conference play.
