Kentucky not confident at 2-0

Is there a less confident 2-0 team in the SEC than the Kentucky Wildcats? They’ve yet to score more than 27 points against either of their opponents from weaker conferences. And this week, they are going to play a South Carolina team with a pretty good defense.

The Wildcats haven’t given up more than 17 points in a game yet this season. But again, they’ve only played weaker competition. Other teams in the SEC are running away with games against weaker teams. Kentucky is struggling to win by two scores.

This was supposed to be the Kentucky team that helped make the SEC East better than the West. With Ole Miss, Arkansas and Texas A&M all being down, the East was supposed to be the division with all seven teams gunning for a trip to Atlanta. Yeah Georgia and Florida were the favorites, but the other five weren’t supposed to be any more than a couple of upsets away from Atlanta.

Now with Kentucky looking weak and Missouri’s defense being as bad as they are, the East might not be as strong as previously assumed.
