Mississippi State is not going to be a pushover.

What was that about UGA not having a good game in Sanford this season? No decent teams coming to Athens in 2017? Mississippi State disagrees with that statement. The Bulldogs absolutely thumped LSU this past weekend 37-7. While the game was in Starksville, this was an absolute whooping and showed that these Bulldogs are going to be a challenge.

Nick Fitzgerald looked pretty damn good at QB and he’s going to be tough to stop.Their defense also played really well and completely shut down LSU. This was a big win for Mississippi State. That being said, we don’t know yet whether this was more about how good they are, or how bad LSU are. I’m not convinced that the Tigers have even a function QB situation and their defense is not the force it used to be.

Still, credit to Mississippi State for pulling out a big-time victory. They have certainly put the rest of the SEC on notice this week and they aren’t going to be sneaking up on anyone anymore. Georgia is going to really have their work cut out for them and that’s ok. We still haven’t played a great team this year and we need to start beating some.
