Two of those players facing charges are Antonio Callaway and Jordan Scarlett, basically their best offensive players. Even against a terrible Tennessee defense, Florida could only manage 13 points before their last second touchdown.
Now they learn about these charges in the week that they have to play a pretty good Kentucky squad. The only thing Florida has going for them is a 30-game losing streak that appears to be in jeopardy.
New doubts about South Carolina
So I might have been wrong about the Gamecocks. I was so high on them for a few weeks, the defense plays well and they get just enough offense to win. And then they found a way to lose to Kentucky. Granted, Deebo Samuel’s injury practically ruins their offense.
Just last week I considered South Carolina as SEC East contenders. Now, I can’t see how they can contend with an early SEC loss and the injury to their best scorer.
