As if this weekend could get much better for Georgia Football fans. After their big win over Mississippi State on Saturday, the Georgia Bulldogs got one over their namesakes on the recruiting front. Aaron Brule is a really intriguing player who was one of the many top recruits at the game on Saturday. He had Georgia and Mississippi State as his top two teams and he saw enough on Saturday. He announced his commitment to come to Athens on Sunday afternoon.

Brule is a really fascinating guy who could play any number of positions at the next level. He’s only a 3-star prospect, but when you watch his film, he certainly stands out. He’s a do it all player who can tackle, cover and lay the wood. In some ways, he looks a bit like Richard LeCounte did on film although he lacks the current dawg’s explosiveness.

Brule’s film:

I don’t know exactly where Brule is going to play at the next level. Cornerback seems unlikely to me, but he could be a great safety or star. I also wouldn’t be surprised to see him end up at linebacker if he bulks up a little. His coverage skills and love of hitting people would make for a really interesting player at that position.

While he isn’t the highest rated prospect UGA will sign this year, its another win for Kirby and co. Apparently, they were really impressed with Brule when he camped with them this summer. There’s a reason he has offers from the likes of Alabama and LSU. The guy is a player.
