Georgia Football put together its most complete performance of the Kirby Smart era to blow out Mississippi State 31-3 so what can we take from this game?

What a game dawg fans. I’m sure like me, you’re all still riding high after see your dawgs put together a game like that. Yesterday was the first time in a long time that we have seen our dawgs come out and play from start to finish. The team looked focused from the kickoff right until the youngsters stuffed Miss. State on the goal line to end the game.

This was a complete performance by a team that seems to be buying into what the coaches are selling. After the game, senior OLB Davin Bellamy said something interesting. He mentioned that the coaches have been pushing this team hard in practices. He said that while it initially upset him and others, they’re seeing the results. The players are starting to understand that there is a reason for this approach. Georgia is ‘taking care of business’ in a way that it simply hasn’t for the past few years.

The culture of this team does seem to have changed since Kirby and his coaches came in. This was a performance that was fully focused and by a team that wanted to make a statement. They, like everyone else, had heard all about how good Mississippi State was and they wanted to remind people about UGA. Upcoming games at a weakened Tennessee and Vanderbilt will be the next big test. They need to show that they can keep that focus for games they are expected to win. But that’s for another day, for now, let’s look back at a fantastic night for Georgia fans!
