Could we be looking at 3 straight top 3 classes?

So here’s where things get a little crazy but bear with me. I think there’s a real chance right now that Georgia could become the next great recruiting powerhouse. I mean right up there alongside Ohio State and Alabama, making that longstanding top 2 a top 3 going forward.

There’s a reason for that, Geography. There is no doubt that right now, Georgia is one of the biggest hotbeds in the country for talent. In this most recent NFL draft, more players from the state of Georgia were drafted than any other. That’s more than Texas, Florida, and Califonia. There is no way Georgia should be in that group based on its population. But the amount of talent in Georgia high schools is incredible now and UGA is the only real instate school for them.

Teams like Clemson, ‘Bama, Michigan and Ohio State have built championship teams on the back of Georgia’s talent in part because UGA was never a power. They were able to sell guys on a chance to win rings when UGA was never in the race. If Georgia is good and it’s able to recruit the way we are seeing right now, that’s going to be a lot more difficult.

If UGA signs Fields, Salyer, Hill etc then I see no reason why 2018 will not be top 3 again. Throw in a wildcard like KJ Henry and it might even be the best in the nation. 2019 could be even better. Right now Georgia was 3 of the nations top 11 players committed. If they can keep them and add talents like Owen Pappoe and Travon Walker I really think that they will be the top class in the nation.
