The potential for a big jump in 2018.

As the line continues to improve, Georgia fans should feel better about how this line will look in the future. After this season, there is a really good chance that this unit becomes even better. That’s because Georgia currently has some really talented freshmen who are not going to play this year.

Isaiah Wilson and Netori Johnson are likely redshirt candidates for this season. Wilson is a monster of a man who body wise is ready to play in the SEC. He comes from a smaller program up in Brooklyn NY however so he has needed some time to work on his technique and be coached. Sam Pittman is one of the best in the business and I would expect him to have Wilson ready to go next year. He would be a terrific bookend at right tackle opposite Thomas.

Johnson is another who given time, could be an instant impact type player. He was one of the top guards in his class but he arrived into camp late due to some issues with his test scores. He has a tonne of potential and should push for a starting spot next year.

UGA should also sign several more top-level prospects in 2018 for the line. Warren Ericson is already on board and is a nasty player. Jamaree Salyer and Trey Hill could both be even better than anyone on the roster on the inside. Georgia is in the driving seat for both.

While it’s great to see this offensive line get better, expect it to improve even more going forward.
