Georgia Tech comes out strong after break

The Yellow Jackets returned from their break with a big win over Pittsburgh to open ACC play. The jackets ran for over 400 yards while passing for under 50, so it was a typical win for them. They had some issues early, and then dominated the second half to defeat the Panthers who only had around 240 yards of total offense.

Tech appears to be one of the better teams on Georgia’s schedule. Their triple-option will be tough to deal with after not seeing it all year after eight-straight SEC games.

But bigger tests are coming for Georgia Tech. North Carolina is this week, followed by no. 14 North Carolina and no. 2 Clemson. This three-week stretch is where we find out how good the Yellow Jackets really are. Can they contend for the ACC? Or is this the team that puts Paul Johnson on the hot seat?
