2017 might be just the beginning.

What might be even more exciting is that this could just be year 1 of this kind of backfield. Georgia has already received the commitment of the nations #1 overall RB in the 2018 class in Zamir White. It is also considered to be the front-runner for James Cook who is considered to be the 3rd best RB in the same class.

White is 6ft2 and weighs the same as Swift. He’s a bruising RB, similar to Chubb but with home run speed. He might actually be the most purely talented guy UGA has signed since Todd Gurley and has all the skills to become a legend in Athens.

Cook is the younger brother of Dalvin Cook who excelled at FSU and is now playing for the Vikings. He’s a slasher more in the mold of Michel and is also a terrific receiver. Like Swift, he’s got crazy explosiveness in small spaces.

Back in the day, top RB’s wanted to get the ball 30+ times a game and lead the team on their own. White and Cook have both shown genuine interest in playing with other great backs to preserve their bodies during their college career. They both have NFL aspirations and they have seen that the wear and tear of the position can end even the best RB’s career.

Next: How UGA's opponents are doing so far.

If UGA lands Cook, there’s the real possibility that 2017 is just the 1st year of UGA’s 3 headed monster. When you combine that with a developing offensive line and several blue-chip QB talents, it’s hard not to get excited about just how good Georgia’s offense could be in the future.
