Georgia football: Top performers from the slaughter of Tennessee
Roquan Smith
Lastly is the games tackle leader. Smith finished Saturday with a whopping 11 tackles from his middle linebacker spot. This was likely Smith’s easiest week of preparation. He didn’t have to worry about waiting on a reed by the quarterback, he didn’t see much of the option this week.
Against Tennessee, Smith could blitz as relentlessly as he wanted. Most run plays were straight hand-offs to John Kelly or other tailbacks. Smith knew he could always go after the running back on running plays.
