Georgia Football and Kirby Smart go into the Vanderbilt game 5-0, but they have to make quite possibly the biggest decision of the season before the game.

It was another great weekend to be a bulldog. Georgia Football put together a terrific performance to beat down the Tennessee Vols 41-0. There is a very good chance they might have ended Butch Jones’ tenure in Knoxville. Dawg fans have good reason to be swaggering into work today feeling good about themselves.

That being said, as great as the game was, something happened close to the end that is going to matter for the rest of the season. With the game in hand, Kirby Smart sent in Jacob Eason to take some snaps. He did so to try and help Eason shake off some rust after his knee injury in week 1, but he also ignited a debate amount fans and surely his team. Who is going to be the starting QB for this undefeated team going forward?

I doubt that Smart is looking to run away from this debate. He seems like the kind of coach that faces down challenges and expects his teams to do the same. However, this is really his first big player decision of his tenure. No matter what he decides, some people will say he is wrong and others right. While the rest of the team is good this year, if he gets it wrong, there is absolutely the chance that a mistake here could cost UGA a few games.

That could cost them the SEC East and in turn the season. So let’s take a look at the things Kirby Smart is going to have to think about when it comes to his QB’s this week. With Vanderbilt and Mizzou coming, there is no better time for him to commit one way of the other.
