Georgia Football fans had a good weekend. There is every indication that they should start to get used to how that feels.

This weekend was a strange one for me. When I heard on Thursday that Justin Fields was going to make his decision on Friday, I wasn’t worried. I was excited. When the Georgia Football team went into Nashville and took on a Vanderbilt team that beat us last year, I wasn’t worried. I was confident.

Now I’ve never liked those college sports fans who seem to blindly boast how great their team is. I’ve never liked to say that UGA should win any game because I’ve been burnt a lot before. But this year, things have absolutely been different.

With 2 5-star QB’s on campus and no track record of putting signal callers in the NFL, Georgia wasn’t expected to win the battle for Fields. Top flight recruiters in Jimbo Fisher and Gus Malzhan were all over him. In the past, I would have always expected him to go out of state. But this time, I never thought that.

Things are starting to change in Athens and It’s hard to know exactly how to feel as a dawg fan. We’ve been let down so many times before, it’s hard to believe that things really are changing. So I wanted to take a quick look at some of the things that are really standing out to me right now and why the future is so bright for Bulldog fans.
