These guys are just getting started

As good as this year’s team is, I really do believe that this is just the beginning. I don’t think we should take anything away from the guys who are dominating the SEC right now, but I see even more talent on the horizon.

The 2017 class was top 3 in the nation and for good reason. We’re already seeing talent across the board come in and make an impact. Whether it’s LeCounte, Swift or any number of others, that class looks special. The year they will have spent with the leaders we have will be incredibly valuable. When it is their time to lead, I fully expect them to do it.

With Fields now on the board, look for 2018 to be even better. The guy is a magnet for talent and he’s made it clear that he is going to look to load up this class which is already pretty damn good. And don’t even get me started on 2019. The state of Georgia is absolutely loaded with talent in that particular cycle. It’s going to be really tough to poach those guys from this state if Georgia continues to look like this.

We’ve had some lean years as a fan base, but I think we can say that the corner has been turned. Not only do we get to feel that every Saturday is going to be ‘our Saturday’, but we can also keep looking forward to what should be an even brighter future. I honestly can’t remember a time where it felt this good to be Dawg. So grab your bulldog gear, paint your face red and black and relax. The future is going to be awesome!
