Each week, Dawn of the Dawg will release a score prediction for the Georgia Football team’s upcoming game. Here’s how we did last week:

Prediction: Georgia 38, Vanderbilt 13

Actual Result: Georgia 45, Vanderbilt 14

Georgia takes on the Missouri Tigers on Saturday in yet another SEC match-up at 7:30 P.M. (ET) on the SEC Network. The Dawgs return home to Athens after back-to-back road games against Tennessee and Vanderbilt.

Georgia sits at number 4 in the latest AP Top 25 poll and is 6-0 for the first time since 2005. At the end of that season, the Dawgs were crowned SEC champions in December. This Georgia team looks like it has a legitimate chance to make it back to Atlanta this season to play for an SEC title.

Missouri comes into this game with a 1-4 record, with its only win this year coming in the season opener against Missouri State. While Missouri’s offense always has a chance to put up some points on the scoreboard, the Tigers’ defense has been abysmal this season.

Jake Fromm will once again start at quarterback for the Dawgs. Fans should only expect to see Jacob Eason if Georgia has a big lead late in the game (or if Fromm gets injured). The freshman from Warner Robins has established himself as a leader on this Georgia team. A lot of things would have to go wrong to unseat him from his starting role at this point.

While the match-up between these two teams last year was incredibly close, I don’t see the Dawgs needing to rely on a game-winning drive in the 4th quarter to put Missouri away this season. This Georgia football team is simply too talented, disciplined, and skilled to let Missouri hang around in this game.

Georgia will take care of business early in this game and head into its bye week with a 7-0 record. A game like this presents a great opportunity for some second-team players and young freshman to play some significant snaps. Kirby Smart has this Georgia team rolling this year, and I don’t expect that to stop on Saturday.
