Georgia Football has one of the best running offenses in the country right now. Look for them to continue to lean on their backs this weekend.

Going into this week, the Georgia Football team needs to stay focused. While us fans are starting to get more and more excited, the team will need to keep it’s head down. While Nick Saban has drawn a lot of attention this week for his ‘rat poison’ comments, he does actually have a point. One of the big issue teams have when they get to this point of the season is that they can start to believe the hype.

UGA has that hype right now. Sitting at no.4 in the country, the team has one of the best defenses we have seen in a long time. They might have a freshman QB, but they have plenty of talent on the offensive side of the ball. The UGA players are going to have to keep focused because even though Mizzou are 1-4, they can still beat anyone. They have a dangerous offense and a QB who has shown that he can take over games.

Some fans and commentators have suggested that this would be a good week for UGA to open up the passing game. Right now, UGA is the bottom of the SEC in terms of passing yards per game. Mizzou has a bad defense across the board. They can’t stop either the run or pass so would this actually be a good chance for Jake Fromm to get some more experience airing the ball out?

While I understand the sentiment, look for UGA to keep doing more of the same and running the ball this weekend. There are plenty of reasons why that is going to be the case, starting with their opponent.
