Georgia football rolls on into the off week with a 7-0 record following a 53-28 win over the Missouri Tigers.

This one was a little more stressful than expected. But in the end, Georgia football defeated Missouri 53-28. The Bulldog defense had by far their worst game of the season so far. But the offense compensated by providing their best game of the season with a school record of 696 yards.

In that performance, a few Bulldogs stepped up and stood out. Without their efforts, this game could have been a complete disaster. Here is where we recognize those players by listing the best Bulldogs of Saturday’s win over Missouri.

Jake Fromm

I think it’s safe to say that Fromm won whatever quarterback battle was left at this point of the season. Coming into this game, everyone wanted to see if Georgia could turn to Fromm to lead the offense with his arm. Kirk Herbstreit said it was the one unproven facet of Georgia’s offense.

So with Missouri loading the box to shut down the running backs, Fromm had his chance to show that he could win games with his arm. He made the most of that chance with 326 yards on 18-of-26 passes with two touchdowns. He did throw one interception, but it didn’t bother him.

From the beginning, Fromm looked ready to prove himself. Missouri shut down Chubb on Georgia’s first drive, but Fromm responded with 57 yards on three completions to lead the Bulldogs first touchdown drive.

After throwing an interception of the next possession, he went back to slinging the ball around and hooked up with Riley Ridley for an impressive 19-yard touchdown pass.

After that, the running game became much more effective. So for once, Jake Fromm’s passing game set up the run, instead of the run setting up the pass. This changes the entire image of Georgia’s offense.

Sure, Missouri’s defense is mediocre. But Georgia still needed to execute and Fromm executed the most early on and he got the offense going.
