Could Tommy Tremble be a Dawg over Luke Ford?

Luke Ford is someone a lot of people have connected to UGA for a while. That has especially been the case since Justin Fields committed the other week. Ford and Fields have been linked together since they played with one another in the Opening this summer. Ford was in Tuscaloosa this past weekend having an unofficial visit with Bama. They remain the team to beat for his signature but UGA is pushing hard.

While Ford was elsewhere, Georgia had another top tight end in Athens this weekend. Tommy Tremble certainly doesn’t have the rankings that Ford has, but he’s another potential weapon at the TE spot. A UGA legacy, Tremble has been trending towards Notre Dame for some time but UGA seems to still be involved in this battle.

Tremble is an interesting player. Much like current UGA commit John Fitzpatrick, he’s underrated by the scouting websites. He’s not done many outside camps and so a lot of people don’t know about him. But he does have plenty of potential and while I still think Ford is Fields main focus at TE, Tremble could be a good backup plan. I don’t think Georgia would take him over Ford, but if the end up with Fitzgerald and Tremble in this class, thats a solid haul for the position.
