Staff putting in the work with 2020 class again:

Once again Georgia had a bunch of talented 2020 guys in Athens this weekend. Last time I did one of these write-ups, I mentioned several of the nations top prospects would come from Georgia once again that year. UGA has started working hard on a lot of these guys and it should pay real dividends when the time comes.

Two of the players in Athens from this class were teammates, Kobe Hudson and Andy Boykin. Hudson could end up being an explosive WR in his class and Boykin is a highly regarded pass rusher. Both already have multiple offers from SEC schools with Hudson totaling 21 offers already. While it’s still too early to know exactly how good these guys will be, Hudson is thought of as being a top 5 player in the state for that cycle.

Another player who was in town was Sergio Allen. Allen has been to Athens several times so far this year and so Georgia is already considered an early leader for him. It’s still probably too early for players to start seriously thinking about committing to a school from this class, but it’s going to start to happen soon enough. Don’t be shocked if UGA already has a commit or 2 before the 2018 class is in the books.

This seems to be the level of recruiting that Georgia is shooting for right now. They are already thinking 2 years ahead, knowing that 2018 is going to be another great class.  It will be interesting to see if the coaches use this ‘off week’ to bring in certain key targets to Athens for a day or two. If they do, we’ll make sure you know who’s stopping by!
