Georgia Football: Reasons why UGA fans think ‘WE WANT BAMA’

Georgia Football seems to be on a collision course to face Alabama in Atlanta. Mike Stowe thinks that its time for fans to embrace that!
Yes, sports fans, you read that headline right. I am a hardcore Georgia Football fan and contributor here at Dawn of the Dawg who tries to be realistic. Most people consider me a fairly reasonable and sensible person. So I know the reactions this headline is going to get from people. I’m going to hear, “WHOA, slow down now!” I’m going to hear a lot of “Don’t get cocky!” and “Be careful what you wish for!”
You know what, I’m fine with all that. I’m not just some homer fan that thinks UGA is now the king of college football because we are 7-0 right now and will be favoured in 4 out of our last 5 games. I’m not beating my chest and yelling that we are going to smoke Alabama. I know what kind of monster we will be up against if we play them in the SEC championship. Alabama is ranked number 1 in the nation right now, and justifiably so.
People try to pick them apart and find flaws like Jalen Hurts’ accuracy and their defence having problems with dual-threat quarterbacks, but the reality is they are hitting on all cylinders right now. They have a head coach named Nick Saban that is pretty damn good. So why would anyone in their right mind say “We Want Bama” right now and truly mean it?
Has ol’ Mike Stowe finally fell off his rocker? Does someone who truly cares about me need to give the mental institution a call and have me fitted for a straightjacket? No. Stay with me folks….there is some logic behind this article. Let’s look at the reasons why as Georgia fans, we want Bama.
