3. We are the SEC team that is best equipped to beat them.

Besides a few delusional Auburn fans, most people who understand the game and know what it will take to defeat Bama this year know that the Dawgs match up with them better than any team in the conference right now. How does an offence move the ball against a stifling defence like Alabama’s? You wear them down.

You run the ball over and over with great backs with fresh legs. We have 5 backs who could all be starters at any college in the nation. Do what damage you can there early. Make them absolutely sell out on stopping the run. And then when they think they have you figured out and contained, you open up the play action pass and take bold but calculated downfield shots to the end zone. UGA has that home run combo now. Jake Fromm has improved every week, and Fromm to Terry Godwin has become a downfield threat that even the great Alabama must respect.

Jim Chaney is starting to finally fit into his role of offensive coordinator. All these things make this a team that can score on anyone. This UGA defence is one of the best in the nation. It can keep the game close. An offence that isn’t one-dimensional combined with an elite defence can beat Bama. That can be done this year. The team who beats them must be equipped to do it and play a near perfect game with no turnovers, but it can happen.
