4. Recruiting, recruiting, recruiting.

Kirby Smart is one of the few coaches from the Saban coaching tree that has a head start on this one. He was already one of the top 10 recruiters in the nation when he was Saban’s defensive coordinator. He’s winning some recruiting battles already.

The commitment of the #1 high school running back in the nation Zamir White and the commitment of the number 1 dual-threat high school quarterback in the country Justin Fields shows that CKS isn’t in need of much improvement in this area anyway. He just got a 5-star quarterback to commit to the Dawgs 3 times in a row. That’s an amazing feat that has never been accomplished until now. What’s better than a 5-star quarterback? THREE 5 star quarterbacks.

Georgia has already started to win battles for big-time talents against Alabama. Last year, they secured DeAngelo Gibbs despite a big push from Saban. Last night, they got a commitment from Adam Anderson. Again, Bama came in second for a top rated player. Whatever Kirby is selling right now, recruits are buying and that gives us a great chance to build up the teams that can overthrow the evil empire.

But it can get even better. I guarantee you we will see even more recruiting riches in Athens if the Dawgs take down Bama. It would show these young kids that UGA is the next big thing. Alabama is still rolling in those number 1 classes. Georgia can do that. It can start by facing Bama and eventually beating them.
