Georgia football and Alabama are the last remaining undefeated teams in the SEC and both are in the top 3.

“We want Bama,” it’s become both the faux rally cry of undefeated group of five teams and a cocky boast by undefeated power-five teams. That’s a testament of how dominant Alabama has been for almost the last decade.

But for Georgia football, it’s neither. Because we know our meeting with Alabama isn’t going to come in a low stakes setting. When the Bulldogs and Crimson Tide clash, the SEC Championship will be on the line in Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

And yet, everyone’s telling Georgia to not be boastful. We’re told that we should “want” Alabama because we supposedly can’t hang with them. Well then, who should we want?

Here are a few teams that Georgia fans should call out since we apparently are too cocky or overzealous to seriously challenge Alabama.

More from Dawn of the Dawg

No. 2 Penn State

Give us Penn State. In Athens, Happy Valley, Atlanta, New Orléans, Pasadena, Dallas, it doesn’t matter. Or should Georgia fear Penn State because they’re ranked higher?

The Junkyard Dawg defense obliterates opposing rush offenses. Saquon Barkley may dominate defenses in the Big 10, but he will have a much harder time dealing with Georgia’s. And Penn State plays good defense, but they’re yet to see a rushing attack like Georgia’s and a mobile quarterback like Jake Fromm.

If the season was to end today. Georgia and Penn State would meet in the Rose Bowl, a true neutral site. There wouldn’t be any excuses. Just no. 3 vs no. 2. And I like the Bulldog’s chances in that match up.

No. 4 Texas Christian

We just got TCU and I already want them again. How great would a rematch be? When Georgia last met the Horned Frogs, both teams were looking for a positive finish the 2016 seasons. Both teams underachieved entered 2017 looking for more success.

After almost two months, it’s safe to say that both teams have improved tremendously since last season. Both are undefeated and on track to play in their respective conference championship games.

A rematch would be a good gauge to see just how much both teams have truly come since last season. Are they just rolling through weak schedules? Or are both really two of the best college football has to offer in 2017?
