No. 7 Clemson

We don’t play Clemson enough. There once was a time where Georgia and Clemson met every year. In fact, Georgia and Clemson played every year from 1897 to 1916, sparingly until the early 1960’s, and then all but three years from 1962 to 1987.

And lately, Clemson has rekindled that old rivalry, not on the football field, but in recruiting. They have become quite the adversary when it comes to getting top high school talent. And geographically, they are Georgia’s closest recruiting rival since Georgia Tech doesn’t target five and four-star players.

But I kind of miss playing our old rivals which is why as a Georgia fan I don’t sound too boastful when I say that I want the Bulldogs to play the defending National Champions.

No. 9 Oklahoma

Georgia has played many great programs, but there’s a few teams the Bulldogs have yet to meet. Of all of those teams, the best might be Oklahoma. The Sooners have seven National Championships, 45 conference titles, 878 all-time wins and 77 All-Americans.

That makes Oklahoma one of college football’s last historic powerhouses that Georgia is yet to defeat. That’s game I want to see happen sooner rather than later. Regardless of the outcome, history will be made.
