Each week, Dawn of the Dawg will release a score prediction for the Georgia Football team’s upcoming game. Here’s how we did when Georgia played 2 weeks ago:

Prediction: Georgia 48, Missouri 13

Actual Result: Georgia 53, Missouri 28

Georgia and Florida will take on each other in the teams’ annual rivalry game in Jacksonville on Saturday. Georgia sits at 7-0 while being ranked 3rd in the AP Top 25. Florida comes into this game with a 3-3 record and is not ranked.

The Georgia football team comes into this game off a much needed bye week which helped the team get healthier and clean up some mistakes from the Missouri game. Outside of suspended linebacker Natrez Patrick, the Dawgs appear to be at full strength heading into Jacksonville.

Georgia is off to its best start in 12 years and this season is setting up to be a special one for Kirby Smart’s Dawgs. While Florida players have been talking trash and throwing shade at the Georgia football team this week, the Dawgs appear to be focused and all business.

Florida has won the last 3 meetings between the two teams. It’s not a stretch to say that Georgia (on paper) should have easily won those 3 games. But as some have pointed out, Florida has had Georgia’s number lately. The Gators have won 21 of the last 27 match-ups between the two teams.

Despite all that, one theme pops its head up again here: this Georgia team is different. This team is fast, physical, and disciplined. This team is led by a host of outstanding seniors and a true freshman quarterback who has played like anything but a freshman this entire season.

Kirby Smart came to Athens to change the culture of Georgia football. If the Dawgs want to truly prove they have turned the corner under Smart, then they not only should beat Florida, but they should destroy the Gators.

Teams are finally beginning to fear playing Georgia in football, and for good reason. I expect the Dawgs to make this a statement game. Georgia will send a statement on Saturday to fans, recruits, the college football playoff committee, and the entire college football world that this team is for real this year.

Prediction: Georgia 41, Florida 10

Georgia takes on Florida on Saturday at 3:30 P.M. (ET) on CBS.
