Georgia Football continues its hot streak on the recruiting trail. This morning they received the commitment from 2019 CB Jalen Perry.

It’s almost like Kirby Smart never sleeps. On a Monday morning where Georgia Football fans already felt pretty good, they got another little present. This time it was from 2019 CB Jalen Perry who tweeted out his commitment to UGA:

Perry is rated as the no.14 cornerback in the country in 2019. He’s also the 185th overall player in that class. In all honesty, those rankings might seem conservative when we get closer to signing day. Perry stands at over 6-1 and is just the type of long cornerback teams want these days. He’s fast and has great hips.

Perry spent that past 2 weeks visiting Alabama and Ohio State. Jeff Sentell at Dawgnation.com said that he went there to confirm that Athens was ‘where he wanted to be’. This is another big get for Georgia. Perry was a take for both of those big schools due to his potential. He could well end up being the top defensive back in the state of Georgia in 2019.

Speaking of 2019, what a class that could be. Perry becomes the 7th member of what is now that nations no.2 ranked class. Right now, all of those players are top 250 talents and 3 are 5-stars. All of them are also Georgia based players. There’s every chance that the 2019 class could be the best we’ve seen yet in the Kirby Smart era. Yeah, it’s a good time to be a Dawg fan that’s for sure!
