The 2017-18 Georgia basketball season is almost here. The Bulldogs season tips-off on November 10th at Bryant.

Basketball season is just eight days away in Athens. This year’s Georgia basketball team carries large expectations. They are they greatest group of talent in the Mark Fox era. Consensus All-SEC forward Yante Maten leads a team alongside veteran center Derek Ogbeide and guard Juwan Parker.

This is also a pivotal year for head coach Mark Fox. After three-straight 20-win seasons, his Bulldogs dipped last season and settled for the NIT again. Fox has taken Georgia a long way from where the program was when Georgia hired him in 2009.

But can he get Georgia over the hump? Will the Bulldogs continue to be an NIT team? Or can Fox get Georgia to the NCAA Tournament on a consistent basis? This is the year to find out. With Fox’s reputation and possibly his job on the line, he leads his most talented group into the 2017-18 season.

What should we expect from the Bulldogs this season? Is this team going to give Georgia basketball fans the big season we’ve all been waiting for. Will they end up disappointing the Bulldog Nation again. Can this team be at least a step in the right direction? Or is it time to part ways with Fox?

There are a lot of questions that we can’t wait to get answers too. But for now, we’ll try to predict the answers to those questions with picking the best and worst case scenarios for this season. And then we’ll come up with a prediction based on those scenarios.
