Jake Fromm

I’m really confused. All I heard for two weeks about Fromm is that he can’t pass. Florida’s Chauncey Gardner says Fromm only throws slants. Carolina defenders flat-out said he couldn’t pass.

And yet, somehow, Fromm went 16-of-22 with 196 yards with a pair of touchdowns. And no, it wasn’t all slants. He passed with efficiency and variety. eight different receivers caught a pass. He threw some slants, some curls, screens, a fade.

One of these days, opposing defenses will stop seeing Fromm as just a freshman leading a run heavy offense. They’ll eventually fear him as a passer. When that day comes, just like with the receivers getting more attention, the run game will open even more and Georgia’s offense will be unstoppable.
