Mecole Hardman could be a star:

There were a lot of great performances on offense this week. Nick Chubb went over 100 yards again. Sony Michel wasn’t far behind him as the two senior running backs took more carries this week. Javon Wims and Terry Godwin both had solid games but it was Hardman who stood out for me.

He had two plays this game that really showed how far he has come this season. The first was a crucial catch and run that helped Georgia to its second touchdown. In it, he not only made a player miss, but he fought hard to get the 1st down and move the chains. The second was his touchdown catch. It was a beautiful throw to his back shoulder and he made the catch over a really well position cornerback.

The second play showed just how far Hardman has come with this position. That’s a really tough catch but it’s one he made look easy. The fact that he is now starting to go up and get these types of balls also shows real progression in his development as a receiver. He’s always going to be great in space, but if he can start beating corners like that, he could become a special player.

He’s still developing, but what a weapon he could be for UGA’s QB’s for the next 2 years. When you consider Hardman and the depth UGA is building up at receiver, Georgia is only going to get better throwing the ball.
