BIG MEN on campus:

It’s no secret that Georgia likes offensive linemen. With Sam Pittman in Athens, the Dawgs have come a long way from the Mark Richt days. Now, it doesn’t seem to matter who they have on the line today. Nor does it matter who they signed last year. Finally, it doesn’t even matter who they have in the current class. Georgia is going to try and sign the best big uglies on the country.

And boy did they have a bunch of them in town this week. UGA commit Warren Ericson was in town and he was seen with several others that Georgia hope will end up between the hedges. Jamaree Salyer and Trey Hill have both been to several games and remain the key targets for Georgia this class. Pittman wants both of those guys really bad.

But a surprise visitor was Cade Mays. One of the few 5-star tackles in this years class, Mays has been committed to Tennessee for some time. He’s a legacy there and few expected him to flip at any point. But the chaos in Knoxville right now puts that option on the table and Georgia is going to throw its hat into the ring. Justin Fields was seen talking to Mays and the rest a lot. He want’s those guys with him and boy, what a line they would be if they came.

Now I’m not sure if this is a battle UGA will win can win, but we’re going to fight it. As a guy who loves dominant offensive line play, nothing makes me happier than this.
