Georgia football is now SEC Eastern Division Champions after a 9-0 with a win over South Carolina and a loss by Kentucky under an hour later.

Georgia football is still no. 1 in the country and on a roll. And now the Bulldogs are SEC Eastern Division Champions, meaning we’re going to Atlanta, to play in Mercedes-Benz Stadium in the SEC Championship Game, most likely against the Alabama Crimson Tide.

And that means that we’re going to add Alabama to this list. But we still have a few more opponents left and we cannot overlook any of them. So here are my observations of how Georgia’s upcoming opponents fared this past weekend. Auburn is excluded as Dawn of the Dawg will go more in-depth with them later this week.

That’s the Kentucky Wildcats we know and love. We all knew they couldn’t handle a little prosperity. It was just a matter of when the Wildcats would collapse. That collapse came Saturday when Kentucky fell 37-34 to Ole Miss.

Of course the loss came with drama. Kentucky led 34-30 in the game’s final seconds when Ole Miss scored with just six seconds left. This is now the eighth game for Kentucky this season decided by less than 12 points.

They still seem incapable of pulling away when they have a lead. They led 27-17 early in the third quarter against Ole Miss, but they allowed the Rebels to score 13 points to regain the lead.

So just like before, the key to beating Kentucky is to just score points. They don’t have the offense to keep up against good defenses. Stephen Johnson and Benny Snell will still be factors and difficult to stop, but Georgia should still breeze past them.
