1. The season isn’t over yet:

Ok guys and girls, that one hurt. But the season isn’t over just because of one loss. Georgia is still very much in control of its own destiny and that is not something many other teams can say right now.

There is still the possibility for UGA to make it to the CFP. If they can win their next 2 games and then beat either Auburn or Alabama in the SEC championship game, they are going to the playoff. What they have lost however is the ability to lose that game in Atlanta.

If Georgia had gone 12-0, then there would have been the chance that they could have snuck in with a loss in that game. Now that option is out of the window. But it’s not the end of the world. They still have a shot.

Even if they don’t secure the championship, there is still a lot to be excited about. Georgia has a legit shot at winning 12 games in their head coaches 2nd season. That’s not exactly easy to do. Despite this loss, I fully expect UGA to remain a top 8 team this week. There is ever chance they finish the season out in that spot.
