UGA is still ahead of schedule:

Last but not least, Georgia fans still have plenty to be excited about. Kirby Smart has clearly shown to fans and college football that he was the right guy for this team. He’s shown clear growth as a coach in his second year and his players have gotten so much better under his coaching staff.

UGA continues to kill it on the recruiting trail. It should be remembered that right now, Smart is mainly coaching players that were brought in by Mark Richt. Kirby has changed the way Georgia recruits and the level of player that he expects in the program. He’s working hard to ensure that nobody feels comfortable in their spot.

Jake Fromm has come in and been really solid for a True Freshman. But he took the job from Jacob Eason who was expected to be a star and a 3-year starter. Justin Fields might be better than both and is coming to Athens. UGA is replacing Nick Chubb and Sony Michel with Zamir White and James Cook. They are redshirting 5-star offensive tackle, Isaiah Wilson because they think he needs more time. I could keep going on but the simple fact is that Georgia is going to be more talented next season, not less.

Things are changing at UGA and Kirby Smart has this program way ahead of where it is supposed to be. An undefeated season was always a dream and the fact that it didn’t happen doesn’t change a thing. Georgia fans still have a lot of things to look forward to in the future. So let pundits and rival fans make their jokes. There’s a very good chance that us Dawgs will end up having the last laugh.
