Opportunity for Tannor has changed since his commitment:

When Tannor committed, he was the first OLB in the class. Tannor is a really talented player, one who is likely underestimated by the rankings, but since then, he has been overtaken. He is a top 300 caliber player and the no.17 ranked WDE in his class. He is also a natural leader and has been a team captain for some time. Tannor is the kind of prospect a lot of schools would love to get their hands on.

However, Georgia has since received the commitment of two players who are higher ranked prospects. Azeez Ojulari and Adam Anderson are potential superstar prospects. Ojulari is a tremendous physical talent who has continued to get better in his senior season.

Anderson might be even better. While Ojulari could be a complete prospect, similar to Lorenzo Carter, Anderson is a natural pass rusher. There might be nobody in the high school ranks who is better at getting after the QB. Those two players are both talented enough to see playing time in 2018.

But its not just them. two 5-star pass rushers KJ Henry and Micah Parsons are both very interested in UGA. It was becoming less and less likely that Tannor would have much of a chance to make an impact in Athens. You can’t blame him for looking for other opportunities.
